Education:

Dr. Kang graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. While in attendance at U.C.L.A., Dr. Kang was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. In 1997, he received his Medical Degree from New York University, School of Medicine. Dr. Kang completed an Internal Medicine Internship from 1997-1998 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. From 1998-2002, Dr. Kang obtained his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at New York University Medical Center, Tisch and Bellevue Hospitals. At New York University, from 2001-2002 Dr. Kang served as Chief Resident. In June 2003, he completed an Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.

Experience:

While attending New York University, School of Medicine, Dr. Kang served as the Admissions Office Student Tour Guide from 1993-1994, Medical Student Advisor from 1994-1995 and Clinical Correlation Chief Coordinator from 1996-1997. Dr. Kang has coauthored numerous research papers, which include, Studies on Storage Solution and Cardioplegia in Cardiac Transplantation (1992), Studies on Host-Lymphoma Cell Interaction in SJL mice (1994) and Efficacy of MR in Detection and Surveillance of a Small Renal Neoplasm (1996).

Dr. Kang joined Desert Radiologists in July 2003.
