Desert Radiologists Receive ACR Accreditation for Imaging
LAS VEGAS-Desert Radiologists has been awarded three-year accreditations from The American College of Radiology (ACR).
Accreditation is awarded to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer review evaluation. Board-certified physicians and medical physicists conduct the evaluations, assessing the qualifications of personnel and adequacy of facility equipment.
All of Desert Radiologists' facilities received accreditation in all modalities as follows:
- Palomino facility, located at 2020 Palomino Lane, is accredited in Breast Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Stereotactic Biopsy and Ultrasound.
- Eastern facility, located at 3920 S. Eastern Ave., is accredited in Computer Tomography (CT), Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Ultrasound.
- Cathedral Rock facility, located at 7200 Cathedral Rock Dr., is accredited in Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.
- Horizon Ridge facility, located at 2811 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, is accredited in Computer Tomography (CT), Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound.
The ACR is a national organization headquartered in Reston, VA, serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology, and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
